Well I got off the plane on the 26th, was met by Denise at the airport and we made our way to the Soul Balladeer . We really needed the work to be completed in order to conduct the sea trials the next day and prepare for departure on the 28th.
We looked over the boat and found that there were a number of issues that had to be dealt with before we left so i spoke with Tim at the yard and got things cranked up.
By the end of the 27th, we were ready to do the sea trial. Jim accompanied us and all went well with the systems checks in the river. Coming back to the dock was a bit of a feat because of the tidal current, but we eventually managed to get her moored and put to bed for the night.
The autopilot needed to be worked on as the rudder feedback system wasn’t working so we decided to get it looked at in the morning.
