Received the quotes, the insurance company met with one of the yards and we now have approval to start the repower. 🙂
I’ll be dropping in with Denise on Dec 20th to have a look around at how things are progressing. Just have to make a final decision on the 6 cyl Lugger or the 6 cyl Isuzu. Both are solid options, with the Lugger having a better marinization package. It will require engine mount modification whereas the Isuzu will not. It just drops in to the existing mounts. The heat exchanger on the Lugger is in a maintenance friendly location while the Isuzu heat exchanger is on the side of the engine in an area that makes it difficult to service.
In any event, whatever engine is chosen within the next day, will be mated to a ZF 68 transmission with a constant drive hydraulic pump ( for the bow thruster) mounted via a flange off the transmission PTO.
It’s nice to be moving in the other direction.
Good day! I could have sworn I’ve been to this site before but after browsing through many of the posts I realized it’s new to
me. Nonetheless, I’m certainly happy I stumbled upon it and I’ll be book-marking it and
checking back frequently!
